I am a tattoo artist at Black Lantern Tattoo located in Campbell, CA 95008

You must be 18 years or older at the time of the appointment to book with me

I have the right to refuse service to anyone for any circumstances/reason

Current hourly rate is $200/hour with a $300 minimum
- Minimum means that all tattoo sessions start at $300 and will go up in cost depending how long the session takes
- 10% discount if payment is made in full with cash
Payment of the total cost of the tattoo must be paid in full on the date of the appointment
I accept cash, Zelle, Venmo, and tap-to-pay card
It is the responsibility of the client to grab cash before the appointment, and to come prepared
Flash designs and custom work are both priced at the same hourly rate
Full day flat rate of $1,200/session is set for large (8+ inches) & extra large (sleeves, back, etc) scale projects. This covers 5 - 8 hours of tattooing in a single session

I require a non-refundable $100 deposit that goes towards the total cost of the tattoo
If you are booking an appointment for multiple people, I require a non-refundable deposit of $100/person
The initial deposit is good for one appointment reschedule

I am firmly against the use of AI in the art world.
- I do not accept AI generated images as references or design concepts
- I will not tattoo an AI generated image on you
- I do not use AI generated images or prompts to create any of my designs
- You will be blacklisted if you run any of my art/tattoos through generative AI
When sending reference photos, please send verified stock images, photos you have taken yourself, stills from movies/tv, tattoos from actual tattoo artists' portfolios, even simple rough sketches to give me an idea of the direction you want to go
- Most references on Pinterest are now AI and can sometime be hard to distinguish
- Look at portfolios of real tattoo artists. Portfolios can be found on Instagram or their websites
- I offer complimentary in-person consultations to discuss the design process/creation. Just ask me :)
I am first and foremost an artist. Bring me your design concept and I'll create a unique design made just for you that is tattoo-able and looks good for a long time

I typically schedule appointments on Sundays - Saturdays at noon and 4:30 pm PST
Full day sessions may start between 11 am and noon
Partial day appointments are booked for 4 hours
- This gives time to do paperwork, discuss the design, do the tattoo, and go over aftercare
Please show up on time
- Do not be more than 15 minutes early or 15 minutes late
- Being more than 15 minutes will result in the cancelation of the appointment
- If you are running late, please contact me or the shop

If you need to reschedule my appointment, you must give at least 48 hours notice, or risk the deposit not be transferred over to a new appointment time
The initial deposit is good for ONE appointment reschedule. Each additional appointment reschedule will forfeit the first deposit, and you will be required to send a new non-refundable deposit to secure the appointment
If you are sick or have been around someone who is contagious, please reschedule asap

Any cancelation or no-show to the appointment will result in the forfeit of the deposit
- I understand life happens. Please at least contact me even if it is last minute and we can work something out
Being more than 15 minutes late to the appointment may count as a cancelation or no-show.
The deposit is non-refundable. No exceptions will be made

If you have a medical condition that means you are immunocompromised requires a doctor's note to be tattooed per county regulations.
Update me with any changes in your medical history so that you can be safely tattooed
This includes changes in medication (blood thinners, antibiotics, etc), recent/upcoming surgeries, pregnancy/breastfeeding, etc.
I do not tattoo anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding due to the risk of infection and safety of the infant
Any medical changes may result in the rescheduling of the appointment due to safety precautions
I cannot tattoo you if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, currently going through cancer treatment, have untreated diabetes, or are taking certain medications such as blood thinners, Accutane, antibiotics, etc.
If you are unsure if you can be tattooed, contact your physician

I do not tattoo any symbolism/imagery/words from hateful groups
I do not tattoo names or dates unless in used in a memorial design
I do offer in-person consultations
I do not offer advance viewing of custom designs unless it is at an in-person consultation with a paid deposit
Custom designs are drawn and finalized the day of the appointment
Any necessary changes to a custom design can be discussed at the beginning of the appointment

I try my best to be accommodating to all clients. However I run a business and must enforce policies which may result

in the termination of our artist/client relationship

Running my art/tattoos through generative AI without permission
Canceling more than twice in a year
Anyone who no-shows without explanation
Inappropriate behavior at the shop
- Being disruptive to other artists/clients
- Leaving trash and biohazard in the lobby area
- Disrespectful guests
- Poor history with other artists at Black Lantern
Harassment through social media/email
Consistent improper aftercare
Blaming the artist for needing to reschedule/cancel due to acts of god or outside reasons (car accident, illness, weather, family emergency, etc)
Not paying full amount or haggling price
